Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park

This day started off pretty early leaving the country B&B and heading to what I had been hearing about and looking forward to for a long time.  BUT, I was not looking forward to what I also heard would be 'hoards' of people and buses. So...as it turns out...waiting until after 4 p.m. to do this was pretty smart.  And the weather had cleared by then.  What LUCK!!  :))

The back roads of Ireland. My GPS would point me toward these 'shortcut' farm roads...
which I totally loved although it slowed the travel a bit.

Kenmare town. (I wish I had photos of the town of Sneem - that looked really cool)

O'Carroll's Cove beach

A sweet spot for a picnic lunch.  (Why yes, that IS a wine spritzer in a pink candy cup!) :)

Within about 15 minutes drive from the beach: this!

View FROM the car window.  I mean...OMG

I mean...really. Just look at these panoramas

A windy ridge near the southwestern point - sheep and a distance sailboat in the background

A close-up of this megalithic site - seen also in the panorama above (in the middle right of the photo)

The Kerry Way, west of Sneem

Beautiful valleys between Sneem north to Killarney

Inside Killarney National Park - south side

For Ladies in Waiting

Just...amazing.  ~9 p.m.
